Read About Jesus in the New Testament (read each chapter in its entirety)

  1. Matthew 1:1
    [ The Genealogy of Jesus ] A record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham:

     
  2. Matthew 1:16
    and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

     
  3. Matthew 1:18
    This is the birth of Jesus Christ; His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph but before they came together she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.

     
  4. Matthew 1:21
    She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus because he will save his people from their sins."

     
  5. Matthew 1:25
    But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

     
  6. Matthew 2:1
    Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea during the reign of King Herod. The Magi [ Traditionally Wise Men] from the east came to Jerusalem

    Jesus went throughout Galilee preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.

    When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching,

    Jesus reached out his hand to touch a sick man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.
