Matthew 1:1
[ The Genealogy of Jesus
] A record of the genealogy of
Jesus Christ the son of
David, the son of Abraham:

Matthew 1:16
and Jacob the father of Joseph, the
husband of Mary, of whom was born
Jesus, who is called Christ.

Matthew 1:18
This is the birth
of Jesus Christ; His mother Mary was pledged to be
married to Joseph but before they
came together she was found to be
with child through the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 1:21
She will give birth to a son, and
you are to give him the name
Jesus because he will
save his people from their sins."

Matthew 1:25
But he had no union with her until
she gave birth to a son. And he gave
him the name Jesus.

Matthew 2:1
Jesus was born in
Bethlehem in Judea during the reign
of King Herod. The Magi [ Traditionally
Wise Men] from the east came to
Jerusalem

Matthew 3:13
Jesus came from
Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized
by John.

Matthew 3:15
Jesus replied, "Let it be so
now; it is proper for us to do this
to fulfill all righteousness."

Matthew 3:16
Immediately when Jesus was
baptized he went up out of the
water. At that moment heaven was
opened and he saw the Spirit of God
descending like a dove and lighting
on him.

Matthew 4:1
Jesus was led by
the Spirit into the desert to be
tempted by the devil.

Matthew 4:4
Jesus said; "It is
written; Man does not live on bread
alone, but on every word that comes
from the mouth of God" [ Deut. 8:3]

Jesus answered; '"It is
also written, Do not put the Lord
your God to the test.' [ Deut. 6:16]

Matthew 4:10
Jesus said; "Away from
me, Satan for it is written:
'Worship the Lord your God, and
serve him only.' [ Deut. 6:13] "

Matthew 4:12
Jesus heard that
John had been put in prison

Matthew 4:17
From that time on Jesus began
to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom
of heaven is near."

Jesus was
walking beside the Sea of Galilee
when he saw two brothers, Simon called
Peter and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake,
for they were fishermen.

Matthew 4:19
Jesus
said,
"Come, follow me and I will make you fishers
of men."

Matthew 4:21
Jesus
called James son of Zebedee and his
brother John to follow Him.

Matthew 4:23
Jesus went throughout
Galilee preaching the good news
of the kingdom, and healing every
disease and sickness among the
people.

Matthew 7:28
When Jesus had finished
saying these things, the crowds were
amazed at his teaching,

Matthew 8:3
Jesus reached out his hand to
touch a sick man. "I am willing,"
he said. "Be clean!" Immediately he
was cured of his
leprosy.

Matthew 8:4
Jesus said; "See
that you don't tell anyone. But go,
show yourself to the priest and
offer the gift Moses commanded, as a
testimony to them."

Matthew 8:5
A centurion came to Jesus
asking for help.

Matthew 8:7
Jesus said "I will go
and heal him."

Matthew 8:10
Jesus said; "I tell you the
truth, I have not found anyone in
Israel with such great faith.
