Sexual Bondage Question and Answers
Q: I am 19 years old
and am in a homosexual relationship. This isn't the
first but I hope its the last. I thought that my last
relationship was the one that I would spend my life with
but, once again I was left, feeling abandoned and
used. I was raised in a Christian home and my family,
although they still offer me love and support, keeps
telling me that what I'm doing is wrong but will I go to
hell? I've always had these feelings and I believe that

Dear Jake,
you are not alone in the struggle of homosexuality. This
has captured millions in its snare of sexual temptation
and desire and
when you
engage in homosexual relations or lust (willful
fantasizing about such relations) God is deeply grieved
and sets about in a variety of ways to turn you from
such a destructive course. If you are currently living
in a homosexual relationship it is important that you
immediately turn away from that lifestyle and seek the
face of God for forgiveness of your sin through Jesus
Christ. When homosexual thoughts arise in your mind, you
must reject them and turn your mind to thoughts of how
God wants for you to live and the way in which he
created us was not for same sex relations as it isn't
natural for man to be with man or woman with woman.
(Philippians 4:4-8). The Bible says, "No temptation has
seized you except what is common to man. And God is
faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you
can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide
a way out so that you can stand up under it" (1
Corinthians 10:13). You must discipline your mind as an
athlete disciplines his body.
God not only wants to protect you from homosexual
behavior, but He wants to begin to meet the deep needs
at the root of your same-sex desires. Apart from a true
God given miracle, the psychological and spiritual
healing that will lead you to sexual wholeness does not
happen overnight nor is it quickly. Sodom and Gomorrah
was destroyed due to their sin which was steeped in
sexual immorality. Homosexuality is indeed an
abomination to God. We were created in His image when He
first made Adam in His image and took a rib from Adam
while he was sleeping to give him a help meet. It was
never intended for man to lie with man or woman with
woman and this is spoken of in several area's in the
Bible although many homosexual pastors will attempt to
make you believe otherwise. Romans 1:27 states:
and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of
the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men
with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving
in themselves that recompense of their error which was
meet."1 Corinthians 6:9-11 says: Do you not know that
the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be
not deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor
adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves
with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards,
nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the
Kingdom of God. God does not want unbelievers to remain
in their sin and self destructive lifestyle. God can set
us free from sinful nature (Romans 7:23, 8:2). He will
give us new desires (Ephesians 4:22, 24), and help us to
withstand temptations (1 Corinthians 10:13)Please
take the time to read and study the following Scripture
on this topic so that you will see that this is not my
word nor opinion, it is the word of God Almighty, our
Creator, our Father, our Sovereign Lord who is the Alpha
and Omega, the beginning and the end and without Whom we
have no promise of eternal life.

Turn your life, your will and
emotions over to the care of God, leaving these feelings
and temptations at the foot of the cross. Only the love
of the Lord, the body of Christ can help with this
struggle, especially in this world we live with constant
sexual and immoral temptation coming at us in every
direction.
